Terms & Conditions
The terms on which Honeyspring Logistics Ltd provides freight and logistics services, and on which you may use this website.
Last updated 20 August 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply between you and Honeyspring Logistics Ltd (business number 07769389620), Flat 4, Shiner Court, Nettlestone Green, Seaview, Isle of Wight, PO34 5DY, United Kingdom.
By requesting a quote or confirming a shipment with our team you accept these terms. Please read them before you proceed.
2. Our role
We act as a freight forwarder and logistics coordinator. In most cases we arrange carriage with airlines, shipping lines and road carriers rather than performing the carriage ourselves, and we arrange customs clearance through licensed brokers where required.
Where we act as agent, the carriage itself is subject to the terms of the carrier concerned and to the international conventions that apply to it. We will tell you which basis applies to your shipment if you ask.
3. Quotes
A quote is an offer to arrange a shipment on the details you have given us. It is valid for the period stated on the quote, and it assumes the cargo, weights, dimensions and description you supplied are accurate.
If the actual consignment differs from what was quoted — heavier, larger, different contents, or requiring additional handling — we will re-quote before proceeding.
Duties, taxes and any charges levied by an authority at destination are not included in a freight quote. They are set by that authority, not by us.
4. Bookings and payment
A booking is confirmed when we have accepted it and the agreed deposit has been received. The balance is payable before departure unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
Payment instructions and confirmation are provided directly by our team once a shipment has been agreed.
Where a shipment is amended or cancelled after booking, costs already incurred on your behalf — including carrier charges, handling and storage — remain payable.
5. Your obligations
- Describe the cargo accurately and completely, including its true value.
- Declare any hazardous, restricted or licensable goods before booking. Undeclared dangerous goods put people at risk and are your responsibility.
- Pack and label cargo so it can withstand normal handling for the mode you have chosen.
- Provide accurate documentation, and provide it in time.
- Ensure the consignee is able to receive the cargo and to complete any import formality required of them.
6. Goods we will not carry
We will not arrange carriage of goods that are illegal at origin, in transit or at destination. We also decline currency, bullion, live animals, human remains, narcotics, weapons and counterfeit goods.
Other categories — including lithium batteries, aerosols, liquids, foodstuffs and perishables — may be carried only with the correct documentation and packing. Ask before booking.
7. Transit times
Transit times we give are estimates based on scheduled services. They are not guaranteed, and we do not accept liability for loss caused by delay unless we have agreed a guaranteed date with you in writing.
Sailings, flights, congestion, inspections and weather are outside our control. What we do commit to is telling you promptly when something changes.
8. Liability
Our liability for loss of or damage to cargo is limited to the limits set by the convention or carrier terms applicable to the leg on which the loss occurred. These limits are usually calculated by weight and are frequently far below the commercial value of the goods.
Carrier liability is not insurance. If you need cover for the value of your cargo, tell us the declared value when you request a quote and we will set out what is available.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Claims
Notify us of any loss, damage or shortage in writing as soon as it is discovered, and in any event within seven days of delivery. Keep the packaging and any evidence. Late notice may prevent us from pursuing a claim against the carrier on your behalf.
10. Website use
The content of this website is provided for information. You may not copy it for commercial use, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform, or interfere with its operation.
The Honeyspring name and logo are our property. Photography used on the site is either our own or licensed.
11. Consumer rights
If you are shipping as a consumer rather than for business purposes, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, save that a consumer may bring proceedings in their place of residence where the law allows.
